GOAL: DESIGN A HIKER'S REST STOP ON THE STAIRWAY HEAVEN TO TRAIL IN NEW JERSEY. Design a hiker's rest stop on the Stairway to Heaven Trail in New Jersey.

PROPOSAL: The shelter harps back to the teachings and symbols of the Boy Scouts of America, reflecting on the outdoor traditions of the organization. These symbols manifest in apertures and massing that allow light and verticality to define the project.
